Dr. Andrew Irvine earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. While attending OCPM, Dr. Irvine received multiple scholarships, was appointed to the Dean's list twice and as a senior, was presented with the Kaufman Memorial Award for Orthopedic & Biomechanical proficiency.

Following graduation, Dr. Irvine accepted a two year Podiatric Medicine & Surgical Residency Program at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital belonging to the prestigious Summa Health Network. During Dr. Irvine's residency training he performed nearly a thousand surgical foot and ankle procedures ranging from simple ingrown toenail avulsions to advanced reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Irvine was named Chief Resident in his senior year and successfully completed additional rotations in Internal Medicine, Vascular and General Surgery, Infectious disease, Pathology, Radiology, Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Wound Care and Pain Management.

Prior to receiving his medical degree, Dr. Irvine pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Irvine has been licensed with the Federal Ministry of Transportation as a Marine Engineer and with the Atomic Control Board of Canada as a Nuclear Operator. Dr. Irvine spent many years in the retail ski industry where during this time as a custom ski boot fitter and sport orthosis fabricator he worked with recreational skiers young and old, junior provincial racers and members of the Canadian Alpine Ski team. Dr. Irvine, who has always enjoyed helping people and solving problems, believes that successful doctor-patient relationships depend on both medical expertise and communication.

Dr. Irvine holds memberships with:

  • Canadian Podiatric Medical Association,
  • American Podiatric Medical Association
  • American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management

Dr. Irvine has been published in the Journal of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association.

Andrew, his wife Lisa, daughter and two sons are excited to make their home in Alberta where they can pursue there continued love of such interests as mountain biking, snow skiing, golf, water sports and of course ....... Hockey!
